View courseGive your child a meaningful head start with Duha Quran Academy’s Arabic Vocabulary Course for Kids, a structured, age-appropriate course for children aged 5 to 15 covering everyday Arabic words and Quranic terms.
Taught in live online classes, it helps children recognise, say, and use Arabic words with confidence
6–9This Arabic Vocabulary Course for Kids builds a solid foundation through thematic vocabulary sets: everyday life, family, faith and the Quran, school, and nature. Children hear, repeat, and use Arabic words in context, not in isolated lists, so they can recognise and use them with confidence.
Classes are live and online with a teacher guiding every step, and no previous experience of Arabic or online classes is needed.
Our course introduces vocabulary thematically, ties it to Islamic life, and revisits it regularly so words stay with children after each lesson. These are the six reasons parents choose it.
Every teacher in this course holds a recognised qualification in Arabic language, many are Ijazah-certified and native Arabic speakers, and is experienced specifically in teaching children, not adults who also happen to teach them.
The Arabic words taught in this course were chosen for relevance to a child's daily life and Islamic upbringing, not adapted from adult textbooks or curriculum designed for university learners.
Words learned in isolation are forgotten quickly. Words learned in thematic groups, all the Arabic words for family, all the Quranic vocabulary around prayer, all the natural words together, are stored and retrieved together in the brain.
Each class is structured around how long a child can genuinely concentrate, not how long an adult can sit in a lesson. Activities shift regularly within each session, new Arabic vocabulary is introduced in small, manageable sets, and review is woven in so naturally.
Arabic vocabulary is never taught here in a cultural or religious vacuum. Every theme in this course connects to Islamic life, the home, prayer, the Quran, the Mosque, Duas children already say.
At the end of each module, parents receive a clear summary of the Arabic vocabulary their child has learned and the activities they completed.
One free trial class shows you more than a page of promises — bring a passage and leave with real corrections.

Here the Arabic vocabulary set expands from home and faith to school life, nature, animals, and food. Your child’s Arabic word bank grows into the areas most relevant to conversation, and simple Arabic sentences begin, so children start combining vocabulary into meaningful expression rather than knowing words in isolation.

The final module moves Arabic vocabulary from passive recognition into active, independent use. By the end of Module 4, parents receive a list of words to practise at home together.
By Module 4’s end, parents consistently notice their child using Arabic vocabulary naturally at home.
This course is built on one principle: every outcome should be something you can see and hear, not just something listed in a syllabus. Each achievement below is demonstrable: something your child can show you.
The achievements below are all demonstrable, things your child can show you, not just topics a teacher has covered in class.
Your child will identify and name more than 200 Arabic words across key themes (everyday life, Islamic vocabulary, Quranic terms, nature, and school) as genuine vocabulary they can retrieve on cue, not a memorised list recited in order.
At the end of each module, teachers run a short mixed-theme recognition activity. Your child is shown Arabic words out of sequence and asked to say what they mean, with no hints, no order, and no prompting.
َة (Rahma), نُور (Noor), and صَبْر (Sabr), during recitation or Islamic lessons, and understand what those words mean.
Teachers play short Quran audio clips and ask children to raise their hand when they recognise a word, then name it. This listening check runs in every module from the second onward.
Your child will pronounce Arabic vocabulary clearly and with growing confidence. This spoken confidence is the foundation for Arabic conversation and Quran comprehension, built gradually across every module through consistent, supported practice with their teacher.
Each session includes a short spoken round where children say each new Arabic word unprompted. Teachers note pronunciation accuracy and flag any word needing extra practice before moving to the next vocabulary set.
Children will look at Arabic words they have learned and read them from the Arabic script, not just hear and repeat them, bridging vocabulary learning to reading and broader Arabic literacy.
At the end of each module, children are shown a set of Arabic words in script, without transliteration, and asked to read them aloud. Only words already covered in class are tested, so children who are still learning the alphabet can take part.
Your child will place familiar Arabic words into short, correct phrases: the essential step between knowing vocabulary and using the language. Teachers build this gradually from Module 3 so it feels like a natural progression.
From Module 3, each session includes a short sentence-building activity. Children are given Arabic words from the current theme and asked to form a correct phrase, without a model sentence to copy.
Your child will recognise everyday Islamic words they have learned, from Salah and Duas to the Khutbah, when they hear them, and explain what they mean. When your child tells you afterwards, ‘I knew that word,’ the course is doing its job.
Teachers incorporate short Quranic and Islamic audio clips from Module 2 onward. After listening, children identify and explain any Arabic words they recognised, connecting classroom vocabulary directly to real Islamic contexts outside the lesson.

Not necessarily. The course is accessible to beginners, though children who already know the Alphabet progress into reading familiar Arabic words more quickly. We recommend our Arabic Alphabet for Kids course as a strong starting point.
Each session is 30 to 45 minutes. Most families choose two to three sessions per week — enough repetition for Arabic vocabulary retention without overwhelming a child’s schedule or attention.
