Many children can recite the six articles of faith by name but cannot explain what a single one of them means. This…
View courseHelp your child live Ramadan, not just watch it. This course helps your child understand and take part in Ramadan, from suhoor and breaking the fast with dates to taraweeh, Laylat al-Qadr, and getting ready for Eid. Your child starts before the month begins and is guided through it day by day, with a daily good deed, a short du’a, and a small Quran goal of their own.
Our Ramadan lessons for kids are live, one-to-one, and online, with sessions of [X] minutes led by qualified teachers who are native Arabic speakers [and fluent in English]. Lessons are scheduled around your family’s Ramadan, [after iftar or whenever your child is most alert], and the course suits children aged [X–X], whether or not they are fasting yet.
6–9The course follows the month from beginning to end. Before Ramadan, your child learns how the new moon marks its start, how the Quran was first revealed in this month, and why Allah asked Muslims to fast.
Through the month, they learn the sunnahs of suhoor and iftar, the du’a for breaking the fast, salah and taraweeh, and simple steps toward fasting, alongside a daily good deed and a small Quran goal.
Learning about Ramadan becomes more meaningful when children can understand Islamic concepts in language and activities suited to their age. This course combines foundational Islamic knowledge with practical examples and daily activities, so Ramadan feels engaging and easy to apply.
Sessions are scheduled around iftar, taraweeh, and your family’s routine, in any time zone. Shorter sessions are available on fasting days, so your child stays focused without feeling tired.
Ramadan lessons for kids are built on the Quran and authentic Sunnah, from suhoor and iftar to Laylat al-Qadr. They are taught by Al-Azhar graduates who are native Arabic speakers and fluent in English.
Your child takes small steps toward fasting at a pace you agree on together. Every step is celebrated, whether it is a few hours or a full day.
Daily challenges keep your child excited and engaged from the first day of Ramadan to the last. They mark each good deed on their calendar and watch their month fill up.
The lessons can give parents useful opportunities to continue conversations about Ramadan at home. Children can share what they learned and apply simple ideas through family worship, good deeds, and acts of kindness.
Short tips after each lesson make teaching kids about Ramadan at home simple and natural. You are welcome to attend lessons [and receive updates on your child’s progress].

Learn what Ramadan is, how the new moon marks its start, and the story of the Quran’s first revelation in this blessed month. Understand why Allah asked Muslims to fast, so your child enters Ramadan knowing why it matters.
Learn the sunnahs of suhoor and breaking the fast with dates, the du’a for breaking the fast, and simple steps toward a first fast, agreed with you as parents. Practise salah, learn about taraweeh, and work toward a small Quran goal for the month.
Discover how the Prophet ﷺ was most generous in Ramadan, and complete a good deed challenge every day. Learn about sadaqah and Zakat al-Fitr, and how fasting teaches us to guard our words and control anger.
Learn about Laylat al-Qadr, its special du’a, and how to make the most of the last ten nights. Then get ready for Eid with Zakat al-Fitr, the Takbirat, and the sunnahs of Eid morning.
By the end of the course, your child will understand why Muslims fast and be able to take part in the daily worship, good deeds, and family moments of Ramadan.
Your child will learn what Ramadan is, why Muslims observe it, and why this month has such an important place in Islam. Age-appropriate explanations help children understand Ramadan as more than a month of fasting.
They will discover how Ramadan encourages worship, reflection, gratitude, patience, and compassion, giving them a meaningful foundation for understanding the month and participating in it with purpose.
Children will learn why Muslims fast during Ramadan and what fasting teaches beyond simply going without food and drink. Lessons introduce concepts such as patience, self-control, gratitude, empathy, and remembering those who experience hardship.
They will also understand that fasting is an act of worship and learn how Muslims can use Ramadan to strengthen their relationship with Allah through sincere intentions and positive behavior.
Your child will explore practical habits that can make Ramadan more meaningful, including prayer, Quran reading, making dua, remembering Allah, showing gratitude, and doing acts of kindness. These practices are introduced in an age-appropriate way that children can understand.
Rather than presenting worship as a list of tasks, the course helps children recognize the meaning behind these habits and encourages them to build a positive Ramadan routine with support from their families.
Children will learn that Ramadan is also a time for kindness, generosity, and caring for others. They will discover simple ways to help parents and family members, share with others, give charity when appropriate, and look for opportunities to do good.
These lessons help children see that even small actions can have value. By connecting Islamic teachings with everyday situations, they can begin to practice generosity and kindness as part of their Ramadan experience.
Your child will explore important values associated with Ramadan, including patience, honesty, gratitude, compassion, forgiveness, and self-discipline. Lessons use familiar situations to help children understand what these values look like in everyday life.
They will also learn to recognize the difference between simply knowing an Islamic value and putting it into practice. This makes teaching kids about Ramadan an opportunity to support both their Islamic knowledge and character development.
The course encourages children to take what they learn beyond the online classroom. They will learn how Ramadan teachings can influence the way they speak, behave, help others, make choices, and participate in family activities.
By connecting Ramadan for children with real-life experiences, your child can develop a more personal understanding of the month and see how its lessons can continue to guide their actions beyond Ramadan.
